Getting Started

This blog has been created just for YOU!

You are here because you think coooking is hard, or maybe you want to try a new recipe or technique , or maybe you think I'm pretty cool and like to read what I have to say... ;-) Whatever the case may be. I'm very glad you're here!

Just like with everything else prep is essential. I'm preparing tons of recipes, tips and tricks to make your time in the kitchen more enjoyable, and maybe a few surprises along the way. I aspire to have a YouTube channel to show you how to simply cook.

I also welcome your questions, comments, and requests. Please don't hesitate to contact me. There are no dumb questions or requests for more information. However, comments that are inappropriate will be deleted.

On the topic of getting started, when I first married my darling husband I was terrified of cooking. I had never really been taught how to cook, how to read a recipe, to plan ahead, and what is actually nutritious. I was doing well too make boxed and canned food, frozen pizzas and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! We do still eat these items occasionally but I'm not afraid of making things from scratch with more than three ingredients. Burnt food was on the menu probably once a week. But my dear husband didn't complain, he journeyed along side me and encouraged me to try new things. Thanks to him I truly enjoy cooking and view it as an art form. With that being said, if you're looking for a plated masterpiece of gourmet food at every meal you've come to the wrong place. I'll be showcasing many different types and styles of food and cooking. I want you to get out of your comfort zone, try new things, and don't be afraid to make mistakes!
